To Whom It May Concern:
Hyatt Moore is a gifted and creative servant of God who is able to take theological truth and biblical directives and capture the force of them on canvas. His paintings have carried the hearts and minds of our congregation beyond their provincial boarders and challenged them to think globally.
Hyatt's personal testimony is one more dramatic monument to the transforming work of God's Spirit. His local roots and worldwide influence have dared the Christians of our sleepy beach community to reconsider their place in God's kingdom.
May God continue to utilize this faithful servant to fuel the Church's passion for Christ's Great Commission!
Sincerely,
Pastor Mike Fabarez

To whom it may concern:
This letter is written to enthusiastically recommend Hyatt Moore as a speaker/presenter at your church.
Hyatt Moore spoke at our Adult Education forum on Sunday, October 14, 2004 and gave a very moving testimony to God's captivating grace. His presentation consisted of 1) a brief description of the many beautiful paintings that were on display: portraits of men, women, children from around the world, 2) relating his personal journey of faith, 3) an emphasis upon his current calling as artist, and 4) pulling all those themes together as he described the painting, "The Last Supper with Twelve Tribes."
Not only was Hyatt Moore's presentation visually overwhelming, the following are some of the comments I heard from members: "Breathtaking." "Grace-full." "I really, really appreciated the art before he began speaking, but his emphasis upon personal faith, making a difference, taking risks, the world-wide mission; that's what I'll remember." "I felt a part of something great; God's love for a diverse and beautiful world!"
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church has a wide variety of adult education opportunities (from small groups, large Bible studies, topical presentations, etc.), but we also look for outside speakers that will give a 'shot in the arm' and build enthusiasm for Christian learning. We certainly received that from Hyatt Moore. I have heard nothing but positive comments from our people and from my perspective; he was very easy to work with and sensitive to our particular context.
From the comments above, you can tell that I was personally inspired by Hyatt's paintings and words. Together (the visual and verbal) testified eloquently to the breadth, mystery, and power of God's grace. If you would like further feedback, please do not hesitate to call me.
Peace,

To Whom It May Concern:
To communicate well in one medium is admirable, Hyatt Moore has the unique ability to express himself on multiple levels as he combines art, story-telling, and Scripture to bring home his message.
Every once in a while you hear a speaker who brings a timeless message in a fresh and compelling way. Hyatt Moore is that kind of communicator. Recently he spoke at all three of our weekend services and our people are still talking about it. I enthusiastically recommend Hyatt Moore to speak at your event. Your will be delighted, inspired, and challenged.

A letter of Reference for Mr. Hyatt Moore
Mr. Hyatt Moore is a gift from God to me, our congregation, and our community. I am a pastor in a multi-cultural, economically and educationally diverse, congregation of people of all ages. How do you create a space, this side of heaven, where all of God's children are aware that they belong, are home, and with family? We called Hyatt! Serving as our Art Consultant, Artist in Residence (one week), and Guest Lecturer, Hyatt revolutionized our congregational space.
Hyatt is a communicator extraordinaire. His prolific artistic skill, thoughtful and intellectually stimulating speaking, powerful active listening skills, and love for all of God's creation, combine and synergize into a marvelous experience for a large variety of ministry opportunities and events.
Mr. Moore's "The Big Picture" presentation inspired our congregation to increase our capacity for worship of God through art and expanded our conceptualization of the Lord's Last Supper. In his second presentation our congregation and television audience thrilled to watch Hyatt weave his personal journey into the Biblical parable of "The Talents." "The Talents" is the most exceptional work on this passage I have experienced. In fact, Hyatt's art and comments have become a window through which we see our Lord, our souls, and our world.
Many of our congregation found Hyatt's public work of painting during our worship service, which I have called "Painting and Praise," to be motivational and instructive in the large variety of ways of worshipping God.
Everything Hyatt says and does is rooted deeply in his love for the people in God's world and the opportunity to provide the scriptures in an ever increasing number of languages. Inherent in Hyatt's presentation is a strong call to the Great Commission. We are highly motivated to continue in our primary task.
Hyatt's ministry among us is cherished as a reminder of the creativity of our God. Mr. Moore's ministry will inspire creativity in any type of organizational setting. His presentation motivates one to return to her/his tasks with renewed vision and "outside the box" thinking.

Dear Friends,
I am writing to tell you about the most positive experience we recently had with Hyatt Moore. In preparing for our annual World Mission Conference, we came across Hyatt's painting, "The Last Supper with 12 Tribes," and were so inspired by it, we purchased the 20' version on canvas and had it mounted in our church. The painting served as the centerpiece for the 5-day conference and will stand as a lasting reminder of God's call upon our congregation to be a witness to every tribe and tongue across the globe.
We were also blessed to welcome Hyatt as one of our conference guests. Following an international covered dish supper, Hyatt spoke about his own conversion to Christ, his life of ministry with Wycliffe, the story behind the painting, and the biblical themes that inspired it. We concluded the evening by celebrating the Lord's Supper.
In the hour that he spoke, Hyatt constantly held the attention of the gathered crowd. His humor, depth, and witness to the Lord were effective and relevant. Not only during that evening, but also in the surrounding events, Hyatt was pleasant and engaging. In the months leading up to the conference, he was professional and easy to work with.
I recommend Hyatt to you for two reasons. First, his passion for the Lord is evident and his witness is compelling. Second, his painting and the message it conveys is remarkable. I am thrilled to think that every time we look at that magnificent mural hanging prominently in our Fellowship Hall, we will be reminded of the calling God as placed on our church to be his witness in the world.
Based on our experience, I am pleased to recommend Hyatt. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to speak further.
Yours for the Kingdom,

Hyatt,
I just wanted to thank you so much for sending me that message. You are a great speaker and have such a relaxed way of connecting with the audience. I appreciate your humor.
What a message you have about marriage. So few people today have a successful example to learn from. My daughter has told me that not one of her friends have parents that are still together. It's so sad. You have so much to offer and God knows the church needs it, with our divorce rate equal if not surpassing the world's.
I would encourage you to not only pass on your wonderful creative talents, but the knowledge you've gained on marriage. The whole truth, about the good and the bad and how to make it work. I don't see how any marriage stands a chance these days without outside intervention.

My wife and I never miss Hyatt when he visits our church. She refers to him as "Our Treasure" and I call him "The Sage." His fresh insight into scripture and personal stories are like a cool drink of water and never fail to enlighten and inspire our congregation.

A word about Hyatt Moore
The commonalities of a good teacher and a great leader are a strong sense of personal integrity that infuses their person, work and ministry.
Hyatt and I worked together as colleagues during what I considered a golden moment in time in the history of Wycliffe Bible Translators. As CEO of Wycliffe USA it was a time under Hyatt's leadership of heightened intellectual, and artistic discovery.
For more than a decade I had the opportunity to observe at close range how Hyatt Moore brought these qualities to the table, plus a fresh creative vision that set a heightened motivational climate of good humor, patience and kindness among his colleagues.
It was during this period I did some of my best work as an author and photographer. The uniqueness of Hyatt's leadership is his ability to create an atmosphere of affability that enables people to maximize their potential at their own pace while retaining their own identity. One of the inspiring thing working with Hyatt was his probing questions. He wants each person to grow. He not only had great ideas; he knew how to implement them and to involve all in a unified team.
In recent years, Hyatt, who believes profoundly that when you allow God to manage your life you often find yourself stretched beyond what you thought possible, is developing latent talents as a fine artist. He now adds that to his already well-developed abilities as a writer and a public speaker.
Just as he did in his leadership role in Wycliffe, Hyatt is ever probing, ever sharing his insights and encouraging people to develop their own God-given talent. I commend Hyatt Moore as a gifted communicator and motivator in whatever subject he's given, or puts his mind to explore.
