A letter of Reference for Mr. Hyatt Moore

Mr. Hyatt Moore is a gift from God to me, our congregation, and our community. I am a pastor in a multi-cultural, economically and educationally diverse, congregation of people of all ages. How do you create a space, this side of heaven, where all of God’s children are aware that they belong, are home, and with family? We called Hyatt! Serving as our Art Consultant, Artist in Residence (one week), and Guest Lecturer, Hyatt revolutionized our congregational space.

Hyatt is a communicator extraordinaire. His prolific artistic skill, thoughtful and intellectually stimulating speaking, powerful active listening skills, and love for all of God’s creation, combine and synergize into a marvelous experience for a large variety of ministry opportunities and events.

Mr. Moore’s “The Big Picture” presentation inspired our congregation to increase our capacity for worship of God through art and expanded our conceptualization of the Lord’s Last Supper. In his second presentation our congregation and television audience thrilled to watch Hyatt weave his personal journey into the Biblical parable of “The Talents.” “The Talents” is the most exceptional work on this passage I have experienced. In fact, Hyatt’s art and comments have become a window through which we see our Lord, our souls, and our world.

Many of our congregation found Hyatt’s public work of painting during our worship service, which I have called “Painting and Praise,” to be motivational and instructive in the large variety of ways of worshipping God.

Everything Hyatt says and does is rooted deeply in his love for the people in God’s world and the opportunity to provide the scriptures in an ever increasing number of languages. Inherent in Hyatt’s presentation is a strong call to the Great Commission. We are highly motivated to continue in our primary task.

Hyatt’s ministry among us is cherished as a reminder of the creativity of our God. Mr. Moore’s ministry will inspire creativity in any type of organizational setting. His presentation motivates one to return to her/his tasks with renewed vision and ‘outside the box’ thinking.
